A new collection of singular sculptures in solid iron and steel informed by Modern British influence. ‘Female Pair’ and ‘Single Male’, quietly echoing the tension and spatial sensitivity found in the work of Kenneth Armitage. Each piece is defined by its unique construction, nuanced patination, and a bold, unmistakable presence.
Across these works, the figure is reduced to its most essential elements - standing, pairing, reaching, and extending. Each form negotiates a tension between weight and lift, unity and separation, containment and release. Through repetition, surface, and structure, the sculptures explore identity as something both singular and shared: a body that can divide, double, or stretch outward while remaining anchored. The restrained palette and heavily worked textures act as a unifying language, emphasising endurance, resistance, and the persistence of form. Together, the works read as a meditation on duality and becoming - where presence is not fixed, but held in a constant state of balance.
