A growing passion for art and the beauty of unique, handcrafted objects led me to study the modernist art and design movements of the twentieth century.
I became particularly drawn to the Bauhaus
movement, as well as the influential artists emerging from St Ives, Cornwall, during the early to mid-twentieth century. This fascination developed into a professional pursuit, culminating in the opening of my first gallery, specialising in significant works of art and sculpture from this period.
In the years that followed, I established larger and more expansive galleries, further developing my presence within the art world. Alongside this, I worked as an occasional advisor for the BBC and was featured in major publications, including Period Living, as well as in national and local newspapers, where my work in art and interior design was highlighted.
For over two decades, I dealt in fine art while also working closely with clients to create bespoke sculptural pieces for interior spaces. This experience not only deepened my understanding of form, material, and context, but also inspired me to fully realise my own creative voice. The breadth of knowledge I have gained across metalwork, art, and design has shaped a lasting commitment to producing modernist forms, grounded in both tradition and innovation.
