SEATED FORM
Abstract shapes of 1.5 mm thick steel hand produced on a metal brake, each section having been mathematically engineered and seam welded over a steel armature as the sculpture evolves. Solid bronze rods and copper plate make up the head form. The directional gaze captures interest. The arc weld splatter arranged over various areas gives the surface a break to the continuity, adding interest to the patination which has taken over a month to achieve. This has been forced on using various chemicals until the desired effect was achieved and then sealed in 2k lacquer.
The form is seated on a heavy reinforced steel base with lacquer protection internally and externally.
Weight 100kg. Build time 3.5 months.
Dimensions overall (base included) Height 1.4m. Width 1.5m.
